315 Schraalenburgh Residence.

Project Overview.
A residence shaped
to scale and site.
Opportunity
315 Schraalenburgh Road occupies a substantial site of approximately 0.70 acres in Closter, Bergen County. The prior residence sat well below the scale and presence the property could support.
Strategy
The thesis was a substantially larger residence built from the existing foundation, with a new Colonial-form home whose size and architecture match the depth of the site.
Execution
Redevelopment began at the existing foundation and extended into a far larger home, completed with a finished basement and an attached garage. The before and after photography shows the full extent of the transformation.
Outcome
The completed residence of approximately 5,276 square feet offers five bedrooms and five and a half bathrooms. The scale of the transformation, from prior home to completed residence, defines the project.
