140 Ahnert Avenue.

Project Overview.
A residence shaped
to site and era.
Opportunity
140 Ahnert Avenue began as a 1959 single-family residence on a 0.33-acre suburban site in North Haledon. The lot offered room and privacy uncommon for the neighborhood, while the original mid-century house reflected the proportions and presentation of its era.
Strategy
The approach was to let the depth of the site carry a more contemporary residential presence: keep a familiar suburban footprint, but give the house a current character in step with today's buyers.
Execution
The prior-condition and completed exteriors show the shift clearly: a dated mid-century house becomes a refreshed residence with a cleaner street presence and a more current architectural expression, set within the established landscape.
Outcome
The result is a 2,780-square-foot residence that pairs contemporary livability with a generous North Haledon site, turning a mid-century starting point into a well-resolved residential asset.
